BAREFOOT® CELLARS CELEBRATES
TENTH VINTAGE WITH JENNIFER WALL

(DATELINE)    "The nice thing about working with Barefoot," says Barefoot Cellars Winemaker Jennifer Wall, "is that the more successful the wines are, the more freedom I get to try new things." Wall is celebrating her tenth vintage with Barefoot Cellars.

Barefoot was founded in 1986, and since Wall joined in 1995, the wines have received huge critical and popular success. "I don't know how many gold medals we've won, "Wall says. "It's a lot, but I think the more important measure is how many people enjoy Barefoot wine for the quality and for the sheer pleasure of it."

Wall has extended the range of wines while maintaining the core philosophy of Barefoot, that wines should be soft and appealing, good quality as well as good value. "There was a lot of pressure when we started getting named a 'Hot Brand', " Wall admits, "but our response was pretty good - we kept on keeping on, making the best wines possible. We're adding more choices, like the Barefoot on the Beach wines, and we're still growing steadily."

According to Lee Susen, Brand Manager for Barefoot Cellars, "Jennifer's contribution to the success of Barefoot has been huge. She is the face of Barefoot, but she is also the soul of the brand." Jennifer responds, "Hey, it's California. It's wine. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong."
