PRESS RELEASE
Academy of Friends Celebrates with Barefoot
Bubbly™
March 1, 2005- Santa Rosa, California- For
the past 12 years, Barefoot Cellars has been one of the predominant
wine suppliers at the annual Academy of Friends event held at the
Fort Mason building in San Francisco. Thousands of dollars raised
at this event go to organizations dedicated to helping the lives
of over 200,000 people affected by HIV and AIDS including but not
limited to: Tenderloin AIDS Resource Center, STOP AIDS Project,
Project Inform, New Leaf and other important organizations.
This year, Barefoot Cellars had the honor
of being the exclusive sparkling wine at the event. Taking their
presence to the next level, Barefoot Cellars set up two reception
tables on the red carpet as attendees entered the event. As they
passed the tables, event goers were treated to the fun, "Get
Barefoot" attitude, as a team of "Barefooters" offered
flutes of their award winning Barefoot Bubbly California Chardonnay
Champagne (Extra Dry and Brut). Barefoot also had a reception table
placed in the VIP lounge where they welcomed VIP's to the exclusive
upstairs lounge with a glass of Barefoot Bubbly as well.
The Academy of Friends is just one of many
charity functions that Barefoot Cellars participates in annually.
Barefoot has shown a commitment to making a difference by donating
and supporting a multitude of non-profit and charitable organizations
throughout the United States.
The Barefoot Bubbly California Chardonnay
has been showing exceptional growth for Barefoot Cellars. The Barefoot
Bubbly has been marketed as the best priced 100% Chardonnay Champagne
on the market. Barefoot produces Extra Dry and Brut style champagnes
that retail nationally for under $8. In a recent Gomberg-Fredrickson
report, Barefoot Bubbly was shown to be the fastest growing California
Champagne in the market with a growth rate of 55%.
