2005 Impact
'Hot Brand' Awarded to Barefoot® Cellars AGAIN!
Santa Rosa, California, March 8, 2005 -Barefoot
Cellars, the famous lifestyle California brand was named as Impact
'Hot Brand' for the second consecutive year. The Hot Brand Award
is presented annually by Marvin Shanken, editor of the Wine Spectator,
Impact and Market Watch Magazine, to brands in the alcoholic beverage
industry which meet tremendous growth criteria.
In order to qualify for the Hot Brand Award, a winery must grow
a minimum of 15% over the previous year, experience double digit
growth in the 3 preceding years, and sell a minimum of 250,000 cases
annually.
Barefoot Cellars has been growing in sales volume at a rate of 20-25%
every year for the last 5 years, completing 2004 up 58% over 2003.
These increased sales have occurred nationally and internationally.
By positioning themselves in the right categories, Barefoot has
been able to capitalize on the trend towards value priced wines
by offering consumer's lifestyle themed wine which is consistent
in quality and a proven value.

make the best wines at the best price." Over the past 5 years,
Barefoot wines have been awarded over 1000 medals, including many
Gold and Double Gold medals.
Barefoot Cellars California wines, originally
introduced by Davis Bynum in 1964, are now available in 1.5L and
750 ml sizes in the following varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot,
Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Syrah and White Zinfandel.
Also available are the award winning Barefoot Reserve Sonoma County
wines, Barefoot on the Beach premium blended wines, as well as the
widely popular Barefoot Bubbly California Chardonnay Champagne available
in Brut and Extra Dry style cuvees.
