Barefoot Winemaker Jennifer Wall grew up thinking she’d go into medicine. It wasn’t until she’d spent a summer working in a wine lab in Sonoma County that she realized she wanted to apply her talents and curiosity to another field she’d come to love: the wine industry. Jennifer enthusiastically threw herself into learning about winemaking and after working with master winemakers and taking multiple courses; she joined Barefoot Cellars Winery as its sole winemaker in 1995. At the time, Barefoot was a small winery with four varietals and a loyal following. In the years since then, Jennifer has helped Barefoot grow to become a recognized and respected name in the industry, with 10 still and 5 sparkling wines and a much bigger but equally loyal base of fans.

Jennifer has been recognized for her winemaking abilities, winning over 2,500 medals for Barefoot wines, including the Best of Show award at the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience and Best of Class at the California State Fair. She lives with her husband Mike and daughter Ava in Sonoma County, California, where in addition to making excellent wine, she devotes herself to charities such as Junior Achievement and the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.
